A beautiful and very interesting image, Bonnie, and, as you would expect, I think Rilke's quote points to the central purpose of our existence, "to achieve one's purest inner possibility." We will never know, of course, what is the purest inner possibility; we can only hope to move deeper with each of our remaining days.

Thank you, George. Perhaps simply being, like the flowers, is achieving "one's purest inner possibility". Perhaps that "boundless resolve" is hard-wired into our DNA, but it is only our ego desires and societal conditionning get in the way.
