...fully present...

We do not become fearless because we know that nothing bad will happen to us ... True fearlessness comes from the knowledge that we will never lie to ourselves, that we will never evade a single moment of our lives.  We will be fully present for every moment and every consequence.

  2. Brilliant. Timely. And, a little bit scary. I find myself reflecting on those moments in my past where I indeed "evaded", and promising (thanks to this post) that it won't happen again. Thanks for the well-placed post, Bonnie. EFH

  3. I'm learning much interesting stuff about 'presence' on my Counselling course, Bonnie. Trying to be fully present for every moment in our own lives, trying to be completely honest with ourselves, surely helps us to be attentively present for others, and to be genuine and 'congruent' (yes, I've been reading Carl Rogers!) with counselling clients, and, indeed, with everyone.

  4. how do you do that stuff? being constantly present and aware and living life full is such a motto - but i am afraid i do not always achieve it. We are constantly reminded that life is temporary but still tend to lapse into distractions. sigh. your posts are always beautiful Bonnie thank you

  5. Wow, stunning image! I'm so drawn to it- really beautiful work. You know I am also a huge fan of your quotes- you bring something new or someone new to me all the time. You mentor me so well and I appreciate it. Very sage advice and something I definitely grapple with but am learning.

  6. Yes, to be present is to be alive. Anything less than full presence is but a poor imitation of life. I spend a few moments being fully present with the image in this post, and it was most enjoyable!

  8. Yup, I agree.
Fearless is when we are not afraid to fall because we know that we can always get up and move on. ;-)
