hardy, loyal hostas

I love hostas!  There are so many varieties.  Their leaves are big, vibrant and lush.  They are the perfect plant for a shady, woodland garden (like ours).  They push themselves up through the hardest, meanest, driest clay.  They do not mind being hacked in two, three or four and being transplanted at any time during the growing season.  They withstand dry spells.  What a dependable plant.  OH!  And they also adapt well to having their photographs tinkered with in Photoshop!

(Don't forget to check out my other blog Pixel Dust Photo Art for free textures!)

  4. Hurray for hosta! These are some mighty plants! We can learn from them - and from your beautiful treatment of them in photoshop!

  5. I love them too Bonnie. I have a very shady yard, and the hostas come back like old friends every year. Totally reliable!
