Just a fun question ...

What were you doing today at 2:00 p.m.?
Thought it might be fun to have a cross-section of people from around the world share what they were doing at the same time.  Don't worry about time zones - just share what you were up to at 2:00 in the afternoon today - if you are so inclined.  :-)
P.S.  I should have asked that you briefly say where you are checking in from.  It will make it more interesting to read the comments that way!  Three people have commented already and I realized that detail  not asked for.  Sorry!!!

  1. I was re-placing books - that had been collecting in piles on a desk and coffee table in my office - on bookshelves. I guess working in my office would be a more concise way of putting it.

  2. I know exactly what I was doing at 2:00 pm today because I had just looked at my watch and was happy it was that time. I was at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, as a Research Subject being the “healthy control” subject for a PhD in Neuropsychology and Behavioral Health doing research on memory disorders. I had just gone through all kind of questions, tests, computer-based memory graphics, mazes, pictures and blocks. It was over at 2:00 (until they need me again.)

  8. Hi Bonnie – I just read your reply - I live in Cobb County, north west of Atlanta, Georgia but Emory University is in Atlanta, about 40 miles from my home. It’s funny, if you had asked what I was doing at 2:30 pm I would have had to say I was eating my spring hamburger at Johnny Rockets in Buckhead, an area of Atlanta (I eat one juicy hamburger per season.) After all that mental work I thought I needed one!

  9. I was teaching my 7th period AP physics class about the 2nd law of thermodynamics. Way beyond the scope of a high school physics class, but somebody asked a question about heat transfer, and I got carried away. I could almost hear each individual brain cell in their heads simultaneously going, "Huh??"

  12. At 2:00, I was throwing pots, generally making a huge mess, and having a wonderful time playing in the mud!! I'm currently living in Southern Oregon, USA! :)

  13. I was sitting outdoors on a Laguna Uplands bench overlooking our lovely Laguna. I was reading a book by Thich Nhat Hahn, watching birds, and enjoying the perfect spring afternoon.

  14. Hi Bonnie :) I love your question! I was fooling around with my coworkers laughing about all the CRAZY people that had been in our courtroom today. One 67-year old woman left her wealthy husband and went out and bought a Harley! She immediately proceeded to wreck it and now she's in court because she wants his Porsche! Go Go Granny...LOL She looks so sweet, you would never suspect that she has such a wild side :) Her old husband is fit to be tied...LOL
I love your painting on this post. Is it water color and pencil? It's really beautiful. I am still not blogging but I love to stop, to visit, to send you love and happiness!
Good to visit you here today :)
Stay well and happy, Sweet Bonnie :) Big hug from Sunny California :)

  16. At 2pm I was sitting in front of my computer sorting through several thousand journal/book/article/dissertation citations trying to glean the critical ones to keep for a research project I'm assisting with.

I appreciate that I don't have to bend over a card catalog to do this and can accomplish much of it from home (though I also enjoy the days I spend at the University of California, Davis library where I can access the articles etc (not just the citations)...

Oldest daughter was experimenting in the kitchen, across from me, youngest was in the backyard with the guinea pig. :-)

Ok - back to more work, trying to catch a deadline.

  17. I'm a pedant so 2.00pm if we're ignoring time zones isn't the same time at all but I get the idea.I'm here in Australia.
I was banging a hanger into the wall to hang a beautiful shallow basket woven by a friend from honeysuckle prunings. It was too lovely to use.

  18. I laughed at this, Bonnie. And damn, if it weren't for your post yesterday, I'd be tempted to be in-authentic and invent something way more interesting than what I was actually doing!!

But in fact, I was here at my computer as I am most afternoons, in Provence in the south of France, working on a light-hearted post about commonalities (or lack thereof) of the sexes. Had you set your time at 10AM my answer could have been a bit more interesting, but oh well. (Although, now that I think of it, 2PM EDT is 7PM GMT+1!! Lemme see, what was I doing THEN?? ........same thing.)

  19. Hi Bonnie, a great idea this. I'm here in Melbourne, Australia and at 2 pm today I started to proof read a job application one of my daughter's is working on. It's due at midnight tonight online and she was looking for help and inspiration.

At exactly 2pm I was hopping back and forth from my computer to my husband's on which my daughter had written the application because my computer would not open the download.

Ah me, technology. It trips us up everywhere.

  20. Hey there, this is a great idea, expect a lot of interesting feedbacks from around the world.

I'm from Manila, Philippines. I was only blogging that time, or maybe sleeping, I don't remember, but I know it was something not so exciting. Haha!

  25. Thank you all! So very interesting.

The last comment by Donna is sobering. Good to remember that as we walk through our lives many are suffering and in need of help.

Thank you Donna for the work you do - and have done for 30 years!!!

  27. HI AGAIN,

I forgot to share that I am in Connecticut, - 10 miles in from the shore of Long Island Sound - my town is considered a shore town as it runs along the shore and inland or North - I am north of the Shore on a lake.
