sunset mosaic for you

This is a little mosaic of photographs taken from our living room window at sunset - about a week ago.  The colours were so intense as to be almost unbelievable.  I love the wild, jumbled network of black branches in front of the sunset.  It adds complexity, interest and wonder to the already amazing sunset.  Hope you enjoy these.  I took them for you.

  2. Thank you Bonnie. The colors are really intense, particularly the rose colors. Isn't it nice to have the impulse to share them with your bloggy friends, and then follow that impulse?

Your lovely moment spreading out like the bells for Barry that shall ring out now, in about an hour!

  4. Love both the colours and the network of branches. Presumably we are looking at the St Lawrence river? I was in Montreal last May - lovely city - one of the highlights for the farmer was seeing the old Grand Prix circuit and actually driving round it at fifteen miles an hour.

  5. Thanks you so much EVERYONE!

Weaver: No, we're about 15 miles from the St. Lawrence River nestled between a mountain and the Richelieu River which is a hop, skip and a jump from our doorstep. The Richelieu comes up from Lake Champlain in New York State and drains into the St. Lawrence at the city of Sorel. I know TMI ... :)

  9. Magnificent sunset, Bonnie! The fuchsia and blue are so brilliant, and the stark black trees give contrast and framing. I also like the triptych effect. Beautiful! Love, me xx

  10. I adore the colors and the blackness of the trees provides such an anchor for all the intensity.

  11. I love the pink color in your sunset. Thank you for giving it to us. We had another pretty sunset here but with so many pine trees it was hard to take a picture of it. We drove about ½ hour to find an open place but could not and finally ended at the Wal-Mart parking lot which is on a hill, but it still was not that good. Tomorrow we will go up Red Top Mountain which is not far; we may be able to see a sunset. Yours was beautiful. Thanks for your comments on my blog.
