It's tooooo cold here, let's go to Spain

It is bitterly cold here today in Canada.  So to remind myself that warm air caressing skin is possible I pulled up these photographs of sunny Spain taken by my son-in-law and daughter in 2009.  I hope they provide you with a little warmth (once-removed) too.  Enjoy.

P.S.  The bridge and houses on the cliff are in a small town called Ronda two hours south of Sevilla - as a comment from the photographers Sebastien Gagnon and Vanessa Zieman informed me!

  1. "Warm air caressing skin" + pictures of Spain = one sick Expat. One of the most delightful (in all of the empirical aspects) places on Earth. Thanks for taking us there on this cold January day, my friend. EFH

  2. Pick me up on your way, Bonnie. I've had it with the cold, too, although it's not as bad as yours. I'll be the tall lady with red, short hair, on the side of the road with her thumb in the air. Blessings!

  6. Although it reached high in the 70's here in sunny Arizona, I still enjoyed your photos! I love the balconies and all the flowers. Those houses built on the cliffs must have some awesome views! Thanks for sharing these!

  7. This is a coincidence – I just read an email from my friend who lives in Toledo, Spain and the town is covered in snow – her car can barely been seen in the picture. Your pictures are lovely – but the reality is much colder unfortunately.

  10. Perfect! I was lying in bed this morning, not wanting to get up, thinking how badly I was in need of a week in someplace drenched in sun. I need an antidote to this gray, rainy weather. It's getting to me badly.

  20. Oh! Where is that third photograph from? Is it a dam? It's breathtaking!

I have Spanish ancestry (25%, actually, although the only part of my ancestry that shows is the pasty-skinned Irish) and photos of Spain, despite my never having visited there yet, always have a bit of a tug on my soul. Thanks for posting these.
