...the best season...

Thank you everyone who commented on yesterday's post "The Autumn of Life".  The above words seem to summarize the thoughts you shared, and I am posting Wu-men today in acknowledgement and appreciation.  Wherever you are in the life cycle may you relish the season of your life and live it with presence and compassion - (that's what you told me!).

  1. A lovely post Bonnie, which fitted in perfectly with mine. That picture of a tree yesterday was very beautiful too. I love the poem suggesting that every season is the best one, and I think that is absolutely true. Thank you for that.

  2. Bonnie, I missed yesterday, but went back and read it. Beautiful summary, my dear. I think the perspective that comes with Autumn makes the looking back on all that drama, sweet, yet allows us some freedom to move forward without it, knowing that each day is a gift. Truly. I absolutely loved this post. xoxo

  3. Presence and compassion. They are two facets of one lovely and uncluttered mind.

  4. Another great poem Bonnie. I always felt the best season is the one in which we live. “The whole life of man is but a point of time; let us enjoy it.” Plutarch.

  8. Of course we did, we are all calm and wise and living our life to the fullest in blogland!
    I wish!

Say Bonnie, do we also share a love of Sebald? I found 'The Emigrants' and 'Austerlitz' incredibly moving and unputdownable. I am keeping the 'Rings of Saturn' for a few days when I have uninterrupted reading time.
If only I hadn't started blogging......

  10. Bonnie, I have a query about your older posts. The links to some (or maybe all, I don't know) of 'Post I recommend' are broken. Do you know what's up with that? I've been looking at them for ages but finally decided to read them today, and couldn't! :(
