Macros of 'Black Knight' Delphiniums

These are macro shots of the tiny flowers that make up a delphinium bloom.  They were taken back in August of this year, and though summer has gone, I think they are still worthy of a feature here.  I hope they brighten your day.

  7. I love these, Bonnie. The close-up view is another thing altogether from a "regular" shot. It's like being intimate with the flower. I especially like the last one, for some reason--sort of seeing the hidden backside of one piece, and seeing the texture of the petals. Really moving.

  16. Wow, Bonnie, these are exquisite! Some vivid petals, some translucent and gossamer-delicate. The color blend harmonizes beautifully. I love the contrast in the clarity of some blossoms compared to the more muted background. These are worthy of framing! xxox

  23. When I look at these I think of whispers. Little glimpses of beautiful sounds.

By the way, I hate that there is no news. At least we live in Canada where we can still get some.

    Love Renee xoxo
