Over The Top

Barbara from A Bird in My Hand has tagged me with the "Over The Top" award.  Thank you so much dear Barbara.  It takes one to know one - who is over the top, that is.  This award comes with a task and rules for the task.

While I have been deeply honoured and touched by awards I have received, I have realized that it demands a lot of time to fulfill the requirements that come along with them.  My time is limited and I would rather spend the time I can give to the blogging world to reading and commenting on your blogs.  So with gratitude and hugs for all the awards, I now declare this blog an award-free zone.  Thank you for understanding.  :)

  1. Thanks much Bonnie. I'll get to this, I will. Yep. Soon. Or soonish at any rate.

  2. I know exactly what you mean Bonnie. People are so nice and so kind but really like you I want to spend my time reading others blogs and formulating my ideas for my own. Time is limited and I do like to do creative work as well.

  3. How fun, and thanks for tagging me to play along! Your last gave me a good chuckle. Let's hope I am equally up for the challenge.

  4. You have some funny answers there Bonnie...espcially the last, along with a few that made me think.

  5. Bonnie, how fun. Your answers were so much better than mine! And I totally understand about the award free zone. Considering it took me hours to fight with my blogger last night to load the names, I understand. So consider yourself one of my fav, award-free blogs. I hope you had fun with this last one. But clearly I've put you over the edge. :p) From now on, only comments, my dear. Thanks for playing.

  6. Giggle, Snort - you crack me up Bonnie!! wicked fun you are!! Hee hee...Sarah

  7. Thank you Bonnie for visiting my blog and leaving a message. I waited till I had some time to come and read all the posts I missed on your blog since my vacation to Canada and my watery return so that I could give them the time they deserve. Your posts are always so meaningful and bring one to stop and think. Your garden and property must be beautiful for random strangers to stop like that. The difference I think between France and North America is that people in France have walls around their properties, or gates or the gardens are behind their houses and you cannot see them, plus they do not own as much land unless they are farms. The flowers in your garden are really beautiful and I would like to try them here but the weather is so different with so much heat and humidity. I also went and subscribed to Irshad Manji’s emails. She really addresses a very important subject. I remember when I worked with women trainees from North Africa (Algeria, Tunisia) they told me that they did not want to wear the veil but they were forced by their families. I look forward to read her ideas. It is very difficult for women to challenge conformity in some cultures – well it is also deadly. It is also very hard to leave your family and live in a foreign culture which may not want to know you.

  8. This has got to be the funniest one word tags that I have read. Who emails you regularly..YAHOO!! I was rolling on the floor with that one!
Have a great weekend, Bonnie and watch those toes!!

  9. Oh,Bonnie, not to worry even a speck! I feel the same. Hugs! B

  10. Congratulations on yet another award! Thanks so much for thinking of me. :)
I haven't done the award thing in ages, but may have to post about yours. The one word responses sound like fun!
    Have a wonderful weekend, Bonnie!

  11. I feel the same way about blog awards Bonnie, and though I am always honored and touched by being thought about, I do not continue them on my blog.

Interesting one word answers... I can imagine that was very challenging!

  12. I loved your answers, you are quite creative. I also share your sentiment.

  13. Thank you so much for thinking of me! You are too sweet! Please, give me a few days to respond...

  14. Bonnie, thanks so much for passing this on to me...I laughed at some of your answers...just what I needed tonight!

  15. Thanks so much for this award. I enjoyed reading your answers. They made me laugh. Now I'll have to TOP them. Thanks for that!

Comments are always read and appreciated.

(I am grateful for all awards received. However, I ask that this be an "award-free zone" and meme-free zone. Thanks for understanding!)
