  1. Breathtaking, Bonnie! I see! It starts up there first, then trickles down here . . My favorite photo is the single crimson leaf with the twirling vine and the muted background. That is such a gorgeous photo! omg! They all are!

  3. Beautiful! Oh, Fall! I miss it. It actually rarely trickles all the way to Southern Cal. Maybe in December, we'll get a cold snap that will turn the leave on the maples that haven't dropped yet. Your shots are so beautiful. "Thanks," she says wistfully.

  4. Thank you! What a treat to see such vivid fall colors. California's display of fall colors is decidedly less evocative and spectacular.

  5. I agree with Magaret...I love the photo of the Virginia Creeper Vine and it's twirling tendril.

  6. oh my, those are all stunningly beautiful, bonnie ~ isn't nature so remarkable? we are just now getting frost for the first time this season, if you can imagine! walked across the diamond studded grass to the studio just now ... and they are predicting we may be shoveling snow by morning ... only in manitoba! ... only in canada! the leaves have been falling and changing slowly, but after tonight i should think things will really start to change!
thanks so much for sharing your lovely images,

  9. So similar and yet so different, but in essence its what I attempted to shoot myself today and couldn't get my photos to come out right :) Glad I could enjoy yours instead and dream of what could have been, lol!

    Beautiful fall photos.

  12. Had I come earlier last night I would have asked you to kindly lend one of your images to accompany my post for National Poetry Day in the UK. Instead of me 'borrowing' (stealing is a more fitting word ;-D) an image from the net, I could have used your sixth photo top to bottom which is an absolute beauty. I can actually smell the morning dampness in that leaf. Many thanks.

    Greetings from London.

  15. Calli: Glorious is a word I like to use for this season too!

  16. Barbara: I was hoping some of you who live closer to the equator might enjoy shots of the type of colour show Autumn puts on for us in the far north. Of course, it is a harbinger of the cold, white, windy weather to come.

  17. Dan: You are so welcome. Did you ever get to try out one of those Eisch wine glasses down there in wine country?

  18. Prairie Girl: Manitoba does really get its share of extreme weather! Glad you enjoyed these photos from just down the TransCanada Highway.

  19. Lorac: Thank you for noticing! I especially like the red leaves on the ground. Often they turn brownish once they are down for a while - so I was glad to get a shot while they were still red on the ground.

  28. Oh, Bonnie...these are marvelous! It is so good to see fall and I can just feel that warm sunlight knowing the air is cool..pretty awesome. In this neck of the woods, when it gets cool and the leaves start to change, the wind picks up blowing them all off the trees. We don't get to see those beautiful colors against the blue, blue sky like your shots. Thanks for the vivid "sense awakening" shots!

And.... not all of us are vegetarians.... so I will be making a big salmon filet. Hope you have a happy Thanksgiving too!

  44. I love autumn, for the leaves, for the crisp air, for the beginnings, for the beauty with which we are eased to winter. Thank you for these images Bonnie. Happy Vegetarian Thanksgiving!

  45. Such beautiful shots. As much as I love summer and grasp to it tightly as it departs, I find myself dearly loving the shades of autumn. You've captured some of the best right here.
