I've always loved red...there is something magical about it for me. It gives me confidence and courage -- and it's also a way to be "out there" without being outrageous!! I love the book I used to read to my youngest..."Red is Best" -- and it is!!
hi bonnie, red was my favourite colour through high school. everything in my room that could be red was red. then it changed. to shades of blue and grey. red said too much. it was loud and spoke from a place that i didn't feel comfortable with. i've not identified the place yet but it's synonymous with emotional noise. and yet, i love the colour. when flowers are red my eyes follow them, i bounce back off them. and back again. in my own artwork red peeps out in small places, "still here" is what it says!!!! have a lovely day. steven
These are absolutely beautiful images, Bonnie! From the yogic point of view, red represents energy, passion, fire as the root, base chakra. Very strong. Although I didn't know Renee, I respect very much your lovingkindness tribute at the loss of her nephew and offer my prayers, too. Om. Love.
Bonnie, thank you for doing this for Renee. She is an angel and so was Sheldon. My heart broke today when I went to visit her page and realized that Sheldon has gone home. My heart goes out to Renee and her family.
Your images are beautiful, Bonnie, and your words too. Thank you, Sweet Girl! xox
Your paintings are beautiful and the red theme is a stand out. I envy your creativity. I'm thinking of taking an art class, to get back to what was once my first love, drawing and painting. Finding the time and energy after working all day is the problem.
Beautiful, Bonnie. The red feels really appropriate somehow today. xo B
