One of my favorite haikus! My house burned down.now I can better seethe rising moon.--BashoIt is fun to see it re-done and illustrated.
That's really good! Love the saying but the paintings is great!
Love this one Bonnie. The painting touches me on a joyful level!
this post is fun; and thoughtful; every cloud has a silver lining?Your use of colour is right up my alley, I love strong colours.
I like that quote too...it's always possible to find some good in a situation...here, the leaves of summer may be falling and soon gone, but...I will then be able to see the sunrise!
For me the artwork makes the words take on a new life. I love to see your interpretation of words and quotes through your use of color and texture. Nicely done!
This is a vibrant, strong painting. I like it and it does combine well with the words. Has a little more relevance for me as I have a barn.
You are very talented in playing with the colors. It's beautiful.
Yes, one of my favorite haiku as well, by the master. The painting has punch and great power.
I can almost smell the crisp clearness of the night as he's lying there, staring at his new view of the moon. Lovely. And words to live by.
PS. Beautiful painting, too! xo
Bonnie, would you please come back to my blog and leave your comment, a different one, if possible. That wasn't a post, that was me playing with photos and checking if that photo of the sky to the east actually appeared visible to naked blogger's eye (well, the eye being naked, not the blogger).By recalling the photo into edit, I also erased your comment. Wish I could disappear into the wide blue yonder sometimes!I'd be very happy if you made use of my email button, top left hand corner of my home page, particularly if my comment were strip-tearing-off-worthy at any time.
Great work, Bonnie...love the vibrant color and works so well with the haiku!
Thank you so much EVERYONE!My favorite comment has to be the one from Friko which is unrelated to this post, where Friko, you talk about checking a photograph for whether it would be visible to the naked blogger's eye.I think you have come up with a great meme! Let's have an appointed day where we all sit at our computers and blog in the buff. There's your meme title: Blog in the Buff. I'll go first! ;)
Hi BonnieI Love both the words and the red energy of your painting...Happy days
Comments are always read and appreciated. (I am grateful for all awards received. However, I ask that this be an "award-free zone" and meme-free zone. Thanks for understanding!)
